Contraindications | Herpes simplex keratitis, vaccinia, varicella, and most other viral diseases of cornea and conjunctiva; tuberculosis; fungal diseases; acute purulent infections which may be masked or enhanced by the steroid; and hypersensitivity to any component of this preparation. |

Pregnancy | Category C. Embryocidal and teratogenic in rabbits at low multiples of the human ocular dose. |
Fungal and bacterial overgrowth, cataract formation, globe perforation possible with long term use. |
